Common Questions

Frequently Asked
Questions

Have questions about medication management at Harmony Health and Psychiatry? We have answered the most common ones below — and we are always happy to talk through anything else.

01
What is medication management?
Medication management is an ongoing psychiatric service where our board-certified providers monitor your prescribed psychiatric medications, track your response, manage any side effects, and adjust dosages as needed to keep your treatment safe and effective.
02
How often do I need medication management sessions?
Session frequency depends on your individual treatment plan. Typically, patients are seen monthly when starting a new medication, then every 2 to 3 months once stable. Our providers will guide you on the right schedule for your needs.
03
How much does a session cost?
Medication management sessions are a flat fee of $125. There are no hidden charges. If you also need a psychiatric evaluation, that is a separate one-time fee of $295.
04
Can you prescribe medication via telehealth?
Yes. Our providers are licensed to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe psychiatric medications via secure telehealth in Florida, Virginia, and Washington. All sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant platform from the comfort of your home.
05
What if my current medication is not working?
If your medication is not providing the expected results, our providers will review your treatment and explore alternatives — whether that means adjusting your dosage, switching medications, or adding a complementary approach to your care plan.
06
Do I need an evaluation before medication management?
If you are a new patient, a psychiatric evaluation is typically completed first. This gives our providers the full clinical picture needed to prescribe safely and effectively. Existing patients transferring from another provider may be able to begin medication management sooner.
07
Who is eligible for medication management?
We accept adults aged 18 and older residing in Florida, Virginia, or Washington. If you are unsure whether you qualify, please contact us at (786) 655-1525 and our team will be happy to assist you.
